About GOODYEAR Drag Slicks for Drag Bikes

I posted this at the encouragement of Korry Hogan. I was discussing with him how Goodyear decides which slicks are for bikes and which aren’t. Korry said I should put that info on my website. I said I’ve probably already told everybody and he says “no way” so here’s a little info for the bikers.

Most of my slicks come from the North Carolina warehouse. When I order my tires Goodyear always ask me if the small 15 inch sizes are for bikes, here why. Goodyear doesn’t just check the circumference to put the slicks in pairs but to see that the slick is level from side to side. I’m not saying the slicks aren’t level but they have to be perfect for a drag bike. It’s real important on a Saturday night bike but it’s critical on a big national event bike.

I’d like to say Goodyear does this for me because I’m special. Well I’m not special and at least the North Carolina warehouse does this for any bike oriented dealer.

I appreciate all you guys that I’ve been takin’ care of all these years (25+) and I appreciate all the business you’ve sent me. I wish every biker out there was buying their slicks from me but I know I’m not the only slick dealer out there. Just make sure that whoever you’re dealing with knows there is more to bike slicks than black.
